Historic McKay Block

McKay Block
Portland, Oregon

Restoration and rehabilitation of late 19th Century building in Portland’s Albina Historic District for Widmer Brothers Brewing Co. The project required a full seismic upgrade. Exterior work included repointing of exterior masonry, replacing missing ornamental sheet metal cornices, new cloth awnings and restoration of existing windows, storefronts and doors. Renovated interior space includes office and brewery functions and retains original door and wainscoting detailing. The project is on the National Register of Historic Places and designed and executed per the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Rehabilitation.
